DataON DCS-3212 Backup Appliances for Windows Server 2016

The DCS-3212 utilizes dual Intel® Xeon® E5-2600v4 processors with up to 512GB of memory—capable of delivering up to 120TB of storage in single 2U system. It is also equipped with twelve hot-swappable screw-less 3.5” drives in an ultra-dense 2U chassis. Support for both enterprise hardware RAID and SMB 3.0 over RDMA on a 10/40Gbe network provides maximum throughput and performance.

The DCS-3212 fully supports Storage Replica, a new disaster recovery feature in Windows Server 2016. It supports both synchronous and asynchronous data replication across any distance, and supports HDDs. It also works at a block level so it works with any type of file system, including ReFS.

The DCS-3212 also supports Veeam® Backup & Replication™, which provides fast, flexible, and reliable recovery of virtualized applications and data in a Hyper-V environment. Veeam Backup delivers fast, reliable backup and restoration of files, entire VMs and application items, without the use of agents.
