DataON Storage was the inaugural storage enclosure certified for Storage Spaces in Windows Server 2012 R2. With the release of Windows Server 2012 R2 (WS2012R2), DataON Storage is once again the first official certified JBOD storage enclosure. Storage Spaces is a cornerstone of the cloud OS and with the R2 version includes the much anticipated SSD-tuned hybrid storage tiering to provide high performance IOPS while reducing the TCO and improving the ROI when compared to the costly flash-based pure storage solutions.

Storage Enclosures:

DNS-1660 (4U 60-bay 3.5” SAS JBOD)

DNS-1640 (2U 24-bay 2.5” SAS JBOD)

DNS-1600 (4U 24-bay 3.5” SAS JBOD)

DataON Storage has continued to build upon its accredited experience with Storage Spaces to develop the first Microsoft certified Windows Server 2012 R2 Cluster-in-a-Box platform—providing a 280TB Storage Spaces-in-a-Box solution. This CiB-9470 platform is purpose-built to accommodate massive scalability and welcomes the use of hybrid storage for auto-tiering and write-back caching to deliver dynamic performance improvements.

Cluster-in-a-Box Appliances:

CiB-9470 (4U 70-bay Shared Storage Dual Node Cluster)

CiB-9220 (2U 12-bay Shared Storage Dual Node Cluster)

In previous performance trials, Microsoft test labtest labs was able to deliver compelling performance results achieving over 1.45 million IOPS (Input/Output Operations per Second) and sustained throughput over 12.6GB/s. This recent test-bed solution consisted of three clustered server nodes and a single DNS-1640 2U JBOD with 24 sTec 400GB SSD drives.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
