The DataON DNS-1660 Ultra-Density 6 Gb/s SAS JBOD solution enables massive data capacity applications, at a price/performance point per Gigabyte (GB) that meets your fast-moving business requirements. Besides functioning as a standalone external direct attached storage (DAS) JBOD for standard serial attached SCSI (SAS) host connect, With up to 60 3.5” form factor SAS per 4U enclosure, the industry-unique DNS-1660 is an ultra-dense, space and power savings solution.

The DataON DNS-1660 fits nicely into a standard 19” wide, 1m long, 42U rack that easily creates a 30TB/U data expansion building block that can be zoned to up to four different DAS Hosts. Additional DNS-1660 JBODs can be daisy chained to support deeper storage pools as supported by industry standard SAS HBAs and SAS RAID HBAs


  • Ultra Density 4U 60-bay 3.5" 6Gb/sec SAS 2.0 storage enclosure
  • Operation with either single I/O controller or dual I/O controller for redundant failover
  • Hot-pluggable I/O controller(s) and dual redundant high efficiency power/cooling (APC) modules
